Songfacts®:

  • Like many early Bayside songs, this one finds lead singer Anthony Raneri feeling heartbroken and betrayed. Released as a single with an accompanying video directed by the production company Major Lightner, it became one of the band's most popular songs.
  • In our 2014 interview with Anthony Raneri, he said that he still loves this song, and it continues to be one of the band's favorites to perform live. It is, however, a song he would never write once he hit 30. "I just think, 'My God, I was angry when I was 21 years old,'" he said. "I don't know that I could ever harness that sort of aggression again. I'm 31 now, and my life has changed so much for the better. I listen to it and I'm like, 'God...' I almost listen to it like it's somebody else. But somebody I wish I could be."
