Songfacts®:

  • Here, Bazzi sings about those perfect moments and feelings that memories are made of.

I feel like we in paradise, paradise
Don't know if it's the drink I poured
But I swear I've never loved you more
When you right here, I come alive

Bazzi explained to Genius that the "Paradise" in this song is not a physical place such as a beach. Rather it is a feeling which has been bottled; the singer can continue to enjoy those moments when he looks back at them.

Bazzi added: "For me, I always think so vividly of my Friday nights when I was in high school. I feel nostalgia and mystery around them and I really wanted to capture those feelings in this record."
  • The song appears in the fourth episode of Amazon Prime's adult animated superhero television series Invincible. It plays in a scene when Mark Grayson/Invincible takes his girlfriend Amber home after their fairground date.
