Songfacts®:

  • Becky Hill's "Never Be Alone" is an anthem of hope rising from the ashes of the COVID lockdown. With both Hill and her romantic partner, Charlie Gardner, entrenched in the music scene, the imposed lockdown hit hard. The industry teetered on the edge, and Gardner, who'd spent a lifetime shaping festival lineups, spiraled downward. This track emerged from the depths of pandemic despair, reminding us that even in the darkest times, we're not alone.
  • Becky Hill wrote "Never Be Alone" with her longtime collaborator Karen Poole ("Remember," "History" and "Disconnect"). The singer drew inspiration from the time she lived apart from Charlie Gardner during the pandemic "feeling helpless with his despair."
  • Hill teamed up with London-based Australian DJ Sonny Fodera for the production. Her powerful vocals soar over Fodera's pulsating house beats, creating an anthem of hope and resilience. She released the song via Polydor Records on January 19, 2024.

"What I love about this single is that it has transcended lockdown and feels so relevant still in a time when we need to be there for each other now more than ever," said Hill.
  • Dancer turned director Remi Laudat filmed the song's music video in Morocco's Agafay Desert outside of Marrakesh.
