Songfacts®:

  • WTF Goin'" is Belly Gang Kushington and 21 Savage's flex-heavy anthem about money, status, and Atlanta pride. The repeated question "what the f--k goin'?" isn't really a request for information. It's a challenge, a way of looking around the room and asking who has the money, respect, and "motion" to matter.
  • The track heavily name-checks Magic City, Atlanta's legendary strip club, matching the flex-heavy energy 21 Savage brought to strip-club-adjacent hits like "Rich Flex." Kushington and 21 Savage trade boasts about cash, cars, and jewelry, making it clear that having money is only half the job; everyone else has to see it, too.
  • Kushington co-produced the track alongside Musik MajorX, Kutta Beatz, B100, and Squat Beats. 21 Savage receives writing and performing credits, sticking to his usual routine of jumping onto beats crafted by outside producers.
  • The song came together organically from a short snippet Kushington posted online. 21 Savage, who was over in London at the time, caught the clip and reached out directly. "He hit me, like, hey, I gotta get on that," Kushington told Hotspot ATL.

As soon as 21 got back from London, he laid down his verse to finish the track. Kushington noted there were no label managers or middlemen pulling strings, just 21 Savage hearing a beat he liked and reaching out.
  • The music video plays right into the Magic City themes, opening with Kushington and 21 Savage landing a helicopter right at the club. They also dropped an alternate "Magic City Edition" cut that doubles down on the strip club setting.
  • Released on June 19, 2026, "WTF Goin'" took off on TikTok thanks to a dance trend. On July 31, creator @notkaitlynntttt posted a clip of her group dancing to the track, pulling in over 1.7 million views. A few days later on August 9, @he2hollywooddd posted a male version of the trend that racked up hundreds of thousands more views. That social media push took the song far beyond Atlanta, earning Kushington his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
