  • This is the third single from British teenage singer Birdy's self titled debut album. All eleven tracks are cover versions and this song was both written and originally recorded by English indie rock band Cherry Ghost. Released as a single, the song peaked at #27 on the UK Singles Chart in 2007. Birdy's version was released on October 28, 2011 and also reached the UK top 40.
  • The song's melody popped into Cherry Ghost leader Simon Aldred's head at the start of a three-month backpacking holiday in India in summer 2005. As he had no guitar or tape recorder to document it, Aldred had to hum the song to himself every day to remember it.
  • Birdy's cover received attention in Australia in 2012 when it was used in a trailer for a Neighbours storyline.
