Songfacts®:

  • Here, Mexican singer and rapper Peso Pluma joins an elite list of artists who have collaborated with Argentine producer Bizarrap. This star-studded lineup boasts big names like Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Tiago PZK, Paulo Londra, Quevedo, and even The Queen of Latin Pop, Shakira.
  • In a departure from the usual diss tracks backed by hip-hop and EDM blends, "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 55" takes a poignant turn. Peso Pluma delivers a heart-wrenching corrido, attempting to mend a broken heart and move on from an ex-lover.
  • "Sigo aquí, ando varias noches sin dormir" ("I'm still here, it's been sleepless nights") laments Peso with his distinct raspy vocals, as he opens up about his struggles. This emotional journey unfolds over the backdrop of traditional Mexican sounds, fueled by requintos and trombones, which Pluma is known for. While Bizarrap's expertise lies more in the realm of EDM, his influence subtly emerges towards the end of the track.
  • Bizarrap created the song using a virtual instrument (VST) and no analog instruments, then after the composition was complete, Peso's band stepped in to record all the actual instruments. "This was because I wanted to give him the space of his bzrp session so that he continues to take the corridos to different audiences," he explained. "I love corridos and Peso Pluma, he didn't need to rap on the trap to break it."
  • Released on May 31, 2023, the song debuted on the Hot 100 at #31, becoming Bizarrap's second Top 40 hit on the chart, following "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53."
