Room Of Nightmares

Album: Grimmest Hits (2017)
Play Video

Songfacts®:

  • Written by Black Label Society leader Zakk Wylde, "Room Of Nightmares" is an aural horror movie, fitting considering the album title, Grimmest Hits. Wylde assumes the voice of a demon, beckoning:

    This room of nightmares
    Shall set you free
  • The video, directed by Justin Reich, takes place at young Timmy's birthday party, where Black Label Society has been hired as entertainment. "Can you boys play something children can dance to?" his mom asks.

The band launches into this song, activating doom-inducing effects pedals as all hell breaks loose.

"That's actually us playing at an 11-year-old's birthday party," Zakk Wylde told us. "Yes, the music business isn't what it used to be, so a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks. When you get a gig, you take it."
