Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single from Booty Luv's sophomore album, their first release in nearly four years due mainly to record label politics.
  • Nadia Shepherd explained to Digital Spy that her Booty Luv colleague Cherise Roberts penned the song "when she was going through some crazy times." She added that it was inspired by women in the music industry that "act like black widows. They might approach somebody with a hidden agenda."

The way female black widow spiders lure males, then mate them before eating them is a frequently used metaphor for women who are dishonest about their intentions.
  • The song was produced by Ian Green who has also worked with Madonna, including co-writing her hit single "Celebration."
