  • The Osbornes came up playing dive bars in their hometown of Deale, Maryland. "Everyone asks, 'How'd you get into country in Maryland?' " John Osborne told Billboard magazine. "But it's just as country as anywhere else. Everybody's got a mailbox hanging by a thread and cars in the yard. Dad had this old Mustang - it was a haven for rodents. Deale's gritty and tough; that's why our songs are gritty and tough."
  • The duo released their debut single " Let's Go There" in late 2013 after signing to EMI Records Nashville. The song reached #36 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.
  • Asked about his hobbies during a Reddit AMA, John Osborne replied: "Craigslisting for gear."
  • In 2015, John Osborne married English singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas. She had two UK Top 10 hits in her native country in 2004 with "What You're Made Of" and "Breathe In." Silvas has also penned songs for a number of British pop artists including Will Young, Liberty X and The Saturdays.
  • TJ Osborne came out as gay in an interview with Time dated February 3, 2021. In doing so, he became the first openly gay country artist signed to a major label.
  • John Osborne has struggled with anxiety and depression. In 2019 it got so bad, the duo had to cancel some shows and John considered quitting music. He's since become and advocate for mental health, telling People, "Now I have the patience of being okay with not being okay, which is one of the hardest things in the world to do."
