Songfacts®:

  • One of the angriest songs on Gravity, frontman Matt Tuck wrote this about other people who are taking advantage of his good nature. He feels like it's just take, take, take all the time from him without giving anything back. Tuck eventually reaches breaking point and says it's not going to happen anymore.

    You can break me down
    Little bit by bit
But I won't let you keep another piece of me

Tuck explained to Metal Hammer: "It's just about giving time, effort, love, affection – whatever you want to say really – and feeling like you don't get anything back and they're taking another piece of you."
  • The song's music video features footage from some of the band's gigs in support of Gravity; they included shows at London's Alexandra Palace and at the Slam Dunk festival.
