Vocalist Liam Cormier explained the song's meaning to Terrorizer magazine: "That song is just all about best friends and those people that you can count on, basically who keep you up. That idea that you build this structure, this strength of friendship around you and that's the kinda thing that gets you through all these hard times, helps you out. So for me that was a big one, writing and thinking about all this stuff, these are the close people that you need shelter from the storm."
