  • Chloe x Halle are an R&B duo comprising sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey. They were born in Atlanta and grew up in Mableton, Georgia, with their parents, Courtney and Doug Bailey. They moved to Los Angeles in 2012.
  • Chloe and Halle launched a YouTube channel in 2013 when Chloe was 13 and Halle 11. They used it to post their covers of popular songs.
  • Chloe x Halle's cover of Beyoncé's "Pretty Hurts" went viral in 2013. The video was viewed over 10 million times on YouTube and caught the attention of Beyoncé herself. She was so impressed with Chloe x Halle's talent that she signed them to her management company, Parkwood Entertainment, in 2015.
  • They released their debut studio album, The Kids Are Alright, in 2018. It earned them their first two career Grammy Award nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best New Artist.
  • Both sisters are also actresses. While in Georgia, Chloe Bailey played minor acting roles in films, including The Fighting Temptations (2003), starring Beyoncé, and the Disney television film Let It Shine (2012).

Halle Bailey made her acting debut in Last Holiday (2006). Her first lead role was playing Princess Ariel in Disney's 2023 The Little Mermaid live-action remake.
  • Chloe and Halle played twin sisters Jazlyn "Jazz" Forster and Skylar "Sky" Forster in the sitcom Grown-ish (2018-2022). They also sang the opening theme, "Grown."
  • Chloe released her debut solo single, "Have Mercy," in 2021. Halle released "Angel," her first solo venture outside the songs she recorded for The Little Mermaid, in 2023.
  • Halle likes to make beaded earrings and necklaces, which she started selling on Etsy in April 2021.
  • Both girls were vegans for more than a decade before they started eating meat again. Halle began experiencing cravings for Chick-fil-A nuggets during her pregnancy. She also wanted to make sure her baby boy Halo, who was born in 2023, was receiving proper nutrition. Chloe also admitted she was no longer strictly vegan in 2024 after incorporating chicken back into her diet.
  • When it comes to pets, Chloe is a dog person and Halle is a cat person. To keep Halle from getting too lonely while she was filming The Little Mermaid in the UK, her family bought her a cat, whom she named Poseidon.
  • The first concert they ever saw was the Verizon Ladies First Tour with Alicia Keys, Beyoncé and Missy Elliott.
  • The sisters didn't remain completely independent of one another on their solo projects. Halle contributed vocals to Chloe's second album, Trouble In Paradise (2025), on the song "Want Me," and Chloe returned the favor on Halle's 2025 debut solo album, Love?... Or Something Like It. She sang on the track "So I Can Feel Again," which she also co-wrote with Halle.
  • Chloe x Halle collaborated with the British girl group Flo on "Soft (Unlocked)," a reimagining of the R&B trio's popular song "Soft," in 2024.
