Songfacts®:

  • In "All I Need Is You," Chris Janson celebrates the simple joys of life, which are more gratifying than material possessions and wild escapades. For the country crooner, love and companionship triumph above all else. Sure, a boat, a truck, and winning the lotto sound appealing, but having his loved one right by his side steals the show for Janson.
  • Janson wrote the heartfelt anthem during a Zoom session at his family's house in the Florida Panhandle with Ashley Gorley, Brad Clawson, and Mitch Oglesby. The singer drew inspiration from the "remarkable" qualities he admires in his wife Kelly.
  • Janson released "All I Need Is You" as the lead single from his fifth studio album, The Outlaw Side of Me, on February 20, 2023. Almost a year later, it became his sixth Hot 100 hit when it entered the chart dated February 10, 2024.
  • Janson co-produced The Outlaw Side of Me with Julian Raymond (Cheap Trick, Glen Campbell). "This record encompasses all sides of me: the lover, the party guy, the conservationist, the family man," he said.
