This was written by the Christian musician Natalie Grant. When Aiken first heard this song, he said, "That's about God." Artist Direct asked the former American Idol runner-up if he felt compromised turning it into a romantic song as opposed to a worship song. He replied: "They all mean the same thing to me; they definitely will for other people to. It's not a love song either. Other people think it's about their mother or their dogs."
The TV show Cheers was nearly canceled after its first season, but the theme song, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," was very popular. To satisfy viewer demand, the theme was made into a full song and released as a single.
"Piano Man" was inspired by Billy Joel's time playing at a piano bar in Los Angeles. The "real estate novelist" was a guy who always talked about writing a book, but spent all his spare time in the bar.
