Songfacts®:

  • According to lead vocalist Jeff Turner in his autobiography Cockney Reject, "Ready To Ruck" was the first song the band recorded after being signed to EMI.

To give it an authentic feel they created a bar-room brawl effect in the middle of the track by smashing bottles and glasses.
  • On the album sleeve the full title is given, ie "Are You Ready To Ruck?," although the question mark is probably not needed as this is obviously a rhetorical question. Typically short, it is Track 13 and is credited to Vince Riordan with brothers Mick Geggus and "Stinky" Turner. >>>
