Common told Billboard magazine about the album: "I created this music for the summertime. It's about feeling good. This is the type of music I felt was missing from my body of work."
This high energy banger was inspired by a disastrous night Common had in a Prague nightclub. The rapper told Rolling Stone:"My own DJ was there - and even he wasn't spinning my songs. I said, 'I got to make some club music.'"
This Afrika Bambaataa-influenced track featured in a Zune TV and internet commercial that Common appeared in alongside Bambaataa.
Hype Williams directed the music video, which features guest Pharrell with a robot skull. Williams also helmed the clip for Common's "Kingdom."
"Lean On" was originally sent by Major Lazer to both Rihanna and Nicki Minaj's camps as a slower reggae track. After both parties rejected the tune, Major Lazer recruited Danish singer MØ to supply vocals and recorded it themselves.
