Songfacts®:

  • This poignant number is one of several tracks on Cook's self-titled major release debut album with the theme of love amidst separation. Cook explained in publicity materials that this track is, "about being in a dysfunctional relationship that you don't want to end because you still see the good in it."
  • Espen Lind and Amund Bjorklund, who make up the Norwegian songwriting and music production team Espionage, wrote this together with Nixons founder Zac Maloy. The trio also co-wrote "Come Back To Me and "Life On The Moon" for Cook.
