Songfacts®:

  • David Guetta and Sia's musical partnership has been one of pop's most enduring double acts, dating back to their 2011 song "Titanium," which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Released on March 7, 2025, "Beautiful People," marks their ninth collaboration and their first since the 2020 songs "Let's Love" and "Floating Through Space."
  • Co-written by Guetta and Sia, with Norwegian hitmakers Stargate, and longtime Guetta collaborator Timofey Reznikov, "Beautiful People" is a dance floor anthem that celebrates living life to the fullest and embracing spontaneity.
  • Guetta and Stargate's previous collaborations include "Right Now" for Rihanna, and six tracks on Guetta's 2018 7 album, including his collaboration with Sia, "Light Headed."
  • "Beautiful People" is something of a time capsule; its origins go back to 2013 when Sia originally wrote it for another pop artist. After a demo leaked that year, Guetta tested it out during a live show in Bangkok, and then... nothing. It was much anticipated by fans, but it took Guetta and Sia more than a decade to complete the song to their standards.
  • The accompanying video, directed by Daniel Askill, leans into the "beautiful people" ethos. A troupe of 13 dancers from Jacob Jonas' The Company perform interpretive routines at Los Angeles' City Market.
