• So what did Meek think of the cut? Shortly after Drake dropped the tune, the "All Eyes on You" rapper tweeted: "Baby lotion soft," adding later, "I can tell he wrote that 1 one tho…"
• Drake explained to Fader why he released the cut. "Given the circumstances, it felt right to just remind people what it is that I do," he said smiling, "in case your opinions were wavering at any point."
• Speaking about his attack on Meek Mill during an interview with DJ Semtex on OVO Sound Radio, Drake said it was a bad decision on his part.
  
  "I didn't know who was going to be on a diss track or what he had ready," he recalled. "I thought this was three months in the making. When I dropped 'Charged Up,' just to kinda see what the preparation level was, I realized - oh wow you're not ready."
  
  "I respect revenge when it's warranted. It's not something that I'm proud of because it took just as much of an emotional toll on me," Drake added. "It just seeing people get so riled up on negativity, it doesn't feel great… It was just embarrassing to witness, you know?"
