This is the lead single from Foxy Shazam's fourth studio album, The Church of Rock and Roll. It was the band's highest-charting song, peaking at #5 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs and Active Rock tallies and #20 on Alternative Songs.
The song was produced by Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins. The Freddie Mercury-esque Foxy Shazam singer Eric Nally's larger-than-life flamboyant style has seen him being compared with Hawkins, a vocalist for whom excessiveness appears to come naturally.
The video for Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" pays homage to the classic 1995 film Clueless with the rapper playing Cher and featured singer Charli XCX portraying Tai. It was filmed at some of the same locations used in the movie.
"St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)" was not written for the movie, but for Rick Hanson, a wheelchair athlete whose 1985 "Man In Motion" tour logged 24,856 miles on his wheelchair in 34 countries while raising $26 million for spinal cord research.
