  • Frankie Ballard explained to CMT News what drew him to record this Mando Saenz and Justin Bogart penned song. "The courage of that is so inspiring to me," he said. "It's saying, 'I know you're with this guy, but you need to be with me.' It's the action of saying it, not just feeling it. I just love it."
  • Nashville-based songwriter Mando Saenz told The Boot, the "song just came about" during his writing session with Justin Bogart. "We started playing some music, going through some chord progressions and melodies, and I didn't have a hook in mind or anything, just started singing some melodies. 'Good as Gold' kind of just came out, and we worked from there. Sometimes things just fall out."
