Songfacts®:

  • This Rhett Akins, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally song is about enjoying life - even the wild part of it. Living well is really important to the singer, so he truly believes in what the song stands for. "I've always had a hard time taking advice from people who I don't feel like it's coming from a place of real experience," he told Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex. "That's what this song is about."
  • Ballard's high-energy shows include him jumping off the stage, which sometimes results in injury. "[The song is] about having some stories like this to tell your kids, like, 'Hey, you probably shouldn't jump off the stage because I did one time and got messed up.' But that's all part of being young, is living your life and that's what this song is about," the singer said. "It's a message that says, 'Get out there and make some life. Make some experiences. You might get a little beat up along the way but it'll give you some good stories.'"
