  • October 17, 2009
  • Freya Skye was born in Buckinghamshire, England, to parents Mike and Sarah Jones, and grew up as an only child.
  • She first discovered her love for singing around age 5 after she received a karaoke machine as a birthday present.
  • Skye released her debut single, "I Love the Way," in 2021 during the pandemic era, when many emerging artists were experimenting with remote production and home-studio recordings.
  • In 2022, Freya Skye represented the United Kingdom at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan with the song "Lose My Head." She finished fifth out of 16 entries overall with 146 points and won the online public vote (80 points), making her the first UK Junior Eurovision act to top the global public voting since the contest introduced that system.
  • Following Eurovision, Skye signed an unusual three-part deal with Disney: a recording contract with Hollywood Records, a publishing agreement with Disney Music Publishing, and a talent-holding deal with Disney Branded Television.
  • Skye is also an actress. She made her on-screen debut in Season 9 of the Canadian dance drama The Next Step on YTV and made her movie debut in the 2025 film Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires as the character Nova.
  • Outside of performing, Skye enjoys watching movies, teaching herself piano, and following her favorite football club, Tottenham Hotspur, a quintessentially North London fandom detail that shows up regularly on her social feeds.
