These Things Happen

Album: These Things Happen (2014)

  • This is the title track of G-Eazy's third album. The title is a phrase that the rapper's mom came up with to describe his movement, as well as a way of describing the feeling of waking up the morning after a night of heavy drinking.

An audio of G-Eazy's mother can be heard at the end of the audio bit at the end of "Opportunity Cost."
  • G-Eazy explained the album's cover art during a Reddit AMA: "The black background photo is like the night before, and the white background photo is like the morning after a wild night. These things happen..."
