In The Cage

Album: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (1974)
  • This is prog-rock era Genesis from their last album featuring Peter Gabriel as lead singer. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is a concept album telling the story of the character Rael. In this track, he finds himself trapped in a cage, and spots his brother John. How much is Rael's imagination is open for interpretation.
  • Genesis performed this on their 2007 world tour. The act consisted of a giant screen and for this song it was a person running, trying to escape the cage which was in front of him. >>
