S.A.D. Light

Album: Glasvegas (2008)
  • S.A.D. Lights are used to help people who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Sufferers of this mood disorder experience depressive symptoms in the darker, less sunny winter months. As it is generally believed that these mood variations are related to light, lamp therapies are one of the treatments used.
  • Singer James Allan told the Daily Record August 5, 2008: "That could be anything. A S.A.D light came as an idea because people look at S.A.D. lights to make them feel better. But it could be anything. If I need something to cheer me up I put on an Elvis Presley record so that could be your S.A.D. light."
