Songfacts®:

  • This is the first single from Oklahoma native, Greyson Chance's Truth Be Told Part 1 EP. Greyson explained the meaning behind the song: "Sunshine & City Lights is all about falling in love with your youth," he said, "and staying young. When I was writing the song, I was inspired by what I do with my friends back home and even being mischievous sometimes."
  • The Clarence Fuller directed video features Greyson with a girl as they take on the city. The teen singer explained the clip is an extension of the song. "It's about two Long Island kids sneaking out into the big city overnight," he said, "having fun and being teenagers."
