Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Hellyeah's fourth album, Blood for Blood. Speaking with Planet Mosh, stickman Vinnie Paul called this "the drum one." He explained: "The first couple of Hellyeah records were a little more subdued, a little less drumming, more rock, and as we got further along back into the metal thing, I really wanted to bring something to the table that I hadn't done, and that was a new drum lick I came up with."

"It was a great idea to have that thing to be speed metal, balls out, and then drop into that heavy groove, and as a drummer I haven't done anything that extreme since (Pantera's 1994 album) Far Beyond Driven, so it was cool to be able to do that," he added.

"Overall on this record I think the drumming fits the songs, and that's the most important thing for me," he concluded. "It's got groove and it's also got some really exciting stuff."
  • Vinnie Paul wrote the drum part for the song first, then guitarist Tom Maxwell penned the song around it.
