Songfacts®:

  • "Do You Know" is a duet with Dolly Parton, who also wrote the song. Simpson told AOL that recording with Parton was full of laughs. She recounted: "After she sang her part on the song, she looked into my dad's video camera and said, 'Well, Jessica sang her butt off. I sang my butt off. So now we're two blondes with no asses!'"
  • "Do You Know" was the title track to Jessica Simpson's sixth album. She released a Christmas album in 2010 but then took a long break from music to raise her three kids.
