  • This song, says Jo Dee Messina, is "my general outlook" on life. She doesn't suffer negativity easily, and just waking up every day is a celebration. "I got married in October," says Jo Dee, "and every morning I get up when we're at home and I'm like, 'Oh my God, it is so beautiful out. Isn't it just beautiful?' I mean, my husband hears it every single day. And it's great, because he's like, 'Yeah, it sure is.' He's right there with me."

"But I think, my general outlook, that's kind of like me as a whole, like my existence. I get up, I get to see the day, put my feet on the ground, and just a chance to get to live through the day or see another day, and that's a blessing, and I'm just really grateful."

"I don't look in the mirror and smile. I look in the mirror and I'm like, Good God, I need more sleep!" she laughs. "I'm kidding. No, I mean, I look outside and smile, and then feel grateful. My days are filled with gratitude as far as I'm so grateful for my family, and my husband, and my home, and my job, and just people that I work with like in my band and crew. So I don't know, I think that's just my general overview of life. I'm just grateful to be here." (Read more in our interview with Jo Dee Messina.)
