Find Me a Baby

  • This upbeat cut in which the narrator finds joy in everyday life is somewhat out of character for Turner. "'Find Me a Baby' is a song I wrote with my producer Frank Rogers," he recalled on a behind-the-scenes video of the recording process for Punching Bag. "It was probably one of the happiest sounding songs I've ever done. Normally, for me, there's a little bit of lonesome in there. [laughs] But there's no trace of lonesome in this song. It's all happy and sunshine and roses."
  • Turner got his wife, Jennifer, and three sons - Hampton Otis, Colby Lynch and Crawford Marion - to sing backup on the recording. "Frank had the idea, 'Let's get Jennifer and the boys to come in and sing on this thing,'" he said. "It was awesome. Being able to have my whole family on a song is something we'll treasure for a long time."
  • Turner had doubts whether his youngest son was old enough to contribute to the tune, but all his kids did fine. "I was concerned about whether or not Marion would be able to do anything at that age," he admitted to The Boot. "He was born in December of 2010, and when we were in the studio it was really early after him being born. So we were just making him laugh, because we just wanted him to make any kind of good sound. We were fortunate to have Marion laughing and Colby singing in that between a baby and little boy phase. And Hampton and Jennifer sounded so much alike that we actually had to pan them to opposite sides to tell them apart - it was just really eerie. They'll do that around home, they'll start singing a song at the same time in unison, and if you close your eyes you can't tell them apart. It's really weird!"
  • As well as Turner's own family, the song's music video features clips of his fans and their loved ones submitted via Craigslist and social media sites. "My wife and boys sang on this song," said the country star. "It's cool knowing their voices are in a special video like this that promotes marriage, family and children. I have to give Peter [Zavidil, the video's director] all the credit for making this such a special and meaningful video."
