This was Joshua Kadison's second single, the follow-up to his hit "Jessie." He describes the song as being about "a love that just lasts forever, and you'll always be beautiful in my eyes."
Kadison later recorded what he calls a "companion song" to this track called "Gratitude," which he says is about when you have to say goodbye to someone and a love relationship turns into a friendship.
The B-side of the single was a demo version of his Kadison's previous hit, "Jessie." He recorded only 9 songs for the album and didn't have any others to pick from when it came time for the flip side, so the demo got the spot.
His keyboard work helped define the Muscle Shoals sound and make him an integral part of many Neil Young recordings. Spooner is also an accomplished songwriter, whose hits include "I'm Your Puppet" and "Cry Like A Baby."
