Songfacts®:

  • This was Joshua Kadison's second single, the follow-up to his hit "Jessie." He describes the song as being about "a love that just lasts forever, and you'll always be beautiful in my eyes."
  • Kadison later recorded what he calls a "companion song" to this track called "Gratitude," which he says is about when you have to say goodbye to someone and a love relationship turns into a friendship.
  • The B-side of the single was a demo version of his Kadison's previous hit, "Jessie." He recorded only 9 songs for the album and didn't have any others to pick from when it came time for the flip side, so the demo got the spot.
