Songfacts®:

  • Early on in Judah and the Lion's career, the band had the opportunity to travel to Sweden on several occasions. This song was inspired by the Scandinavian country and its capital city. Frontman Judah Akers explained to Clash magazine: "We fell in love with the people, the culture, and particularly the city of Stockholm. The last time we were there was in the summer and we honestly didn't want to leave. This song was written about that longing to stay in what felt like paradise."
  • This was written along with another Folk Hop N Roll track "All I Want Is You", when the four band members were sitting in mandolin player Brian Macdonald's house jamming and getting ready to head in to the studio.
  • The Swedish capital of Stockholm is the most populous city in the Nordic countries. The Scandinavian metropolis extends across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. The Swedish DJ Avicii also paid tribute to the city on his 2015 track "Somewhere in Stockholm."
