  • Jungle is a group comprising "J" and "T," who grew up as neighbors in West London. The duo expand to a seven-piece live.
  • Jungle's debut eponymous album was recorded between the duo's own home studio in Shepherds Bush, London and the XL Recordings studio in nearby Ladbroke Grove. "Every song on the record is a place and time," the pair told NME. "For 'Platoon' it's this dark Vietnam jungle covered in mist. The guitars feel like machine guns."
  • The song's music video stars B-Girl Terra, a six-year-old break-dancer.
