  • The lighthearted music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, shows several people going through their daily routines -such as showering, cleaning, working in an office, and waitressing - intercut with Clarkson singing live. Clarkson's brother Jason makes a cameo appearance as a guy in a restroom. Kahn also directed the clips for the singer's "Behind These Hazel Eyes," "Never Again," and "Already Gone."
  • Clarkson wrote "Walk Away" with Kara DioGuardi, Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk. In 2009, DioGuardi became a judge on American Idol, the show Clarkson won in its inaugural season. Kreviazuk and Maida are Canadian artists who got married in 1999. Maida fronts the band Our Lady Peace.
  • This was the fourth single from Kelly Clarkson's second album, Breakaway. All the singles were hits, and the album sold over 6 million copies just in America. It was proof that Clarkson's Idol success would carry over into the real world.
