Songfacts®:

  • Kid Rock explained to Billboard magazine why he hooked up with country star Zac Brown for this song. "That's our porch song. That's Zac Brown on that song with me. We've become such good friends, we always do 'Chicken Fried' or 'All Summer Long.' With all these guys I'm buddies with, Jamey Johnson, these guys, we say we've got to write one of our own so when we keep popping into each other we've got something to sing. I wrote that song, and after I got done with it I thought it would be a great one for Zac to be on, and when I played it for him he was like, "I love it, let's do it."
