Songfacts®:

  • Olajide "JJ" Olatunji, better known as KSI, is a British YouTuber and rapper. His performing name is derived from a Halo clan: K Stands For Knowledge. S Stands for Strength, I Stands For Integrity.

Olatunji signed a record deal with RBC Records in 2019. This song, his first single under the new record label, was his first UK top 20 hit.
  • The song features guest verses by English MC S-X, and American rappers Rick Ross and Lil Baby. S-X also produced the track.
  • "Down Like That" was performed live by the three featured artists during Olatunji's ring walk for his November 9, 2019 boxing fight against American YouTuber Logan Paul. The bout, which was held at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, was a rematch of a previous fight between the two. With lyrics like, "I want that knockdown" and a title of "Down Like That," it's likely at least some of the bars are aimed at Paul. KSI came out victorious in a split decision.
