Songfacts®:

  • "My Oh My" is a flirtatious dance pop banger by Kylie Minogue featuring guest vocals from Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo. All three artists sing of a chance encounter that turns into something more.
  • Kylie Minogue leads the song in its first verse and chorus, while Bebe Rexha takes the second verse and Tove-Lo sings the bridge. Each artist's respective lyrics find them introducing themselves by name, zodiac sign and a soft-spoken "Hi."
  • R&B group The Floaters previously introduced themselves with their names and astrological signs in their 1977 song "Float On." In "My Oh My," it's a playful pick-up line, while in "Float On" it's a casual conversation starter that reflects the song's more relaxed vibe.
  • During Tove's part of the song, she introduces herself as "To-Tove Lo," pronouncing her name slightly incorrectly. This nods to a 2022 TikTok video posted by Megan Thee Stallion of her listening to Tove Lo's smash hit "Habits (Stay High)." She enunciates the Swedish pop star's moniker as, "To-Tove Lo? Period!"
  • Minogue's repeated "La-la, la-la" on the chorus references her use on her 2001 global smash "Can't Get You Out Of My Head."
  • Tove Lo first met Kylie in 2018 when they both played the same AMFAR charity event in Hong Kong. They teamed up the following year for "Really Don't Like U," a track from Lo's Sunshine Kitty album. "My Oh My" is their first collaboration since.

The song marks the first time Minogue worked with Rexha.
  • Tove Lo wrote the song with Norwegian singer-songwriter Ina Wroldsen and producer Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato). Ina Wroldsen also co-penned Minogue's 2023 single "Padam Padam."
  • Kylie Minogue brought out Tove Lo and Bebe Rexha to give "My Oh My" its live debut during her headlining show at London's Hyde Park on July 13, 2024.
