Songfacts®:

  • Lacey Sturm (née Mosley) is the co-founder and lead vocalist of the alternative metal band Flyleaf. When Sturm was asked to pen a song for the Underworld: Awakening soundtrack she found that he had to do her own research. Said the singer to Noisecreep: "There are four movies in the franchise now, but when I took on the project, I had only seen the first two. I had to go on some websites to learn about the plot of the new film, and then I wrote my lyrics around that. You would think that they would have let me see the film before I wrote the song, but no luck there [laughs]."
  • Sturm collaborated on the song with Geno Lenardo, who was Filter's guitarist between 1995 and 2002.
