Songfacts®:

  • Originally recorded by LeAnn Rimes as a country-pop tune for her Remnants album, this topped the US dance chart powered by remixes from the likes of Dave Aude, Ivan Gomez and DJ Deville.

"I'm so happy the message of 'Long Live Love' connected and people are dancing to it," Rimes told Billboard magazine. "We wrote the song to speak to our need for love. So, I appreciate the love from the dance world. And, of course, I love collaborating with the best of the best! I am honored to be a part of it all."
  • This was Rimes' second clubland chart-topper. She previously reached #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs tally with "What I Cannot Change" back in 2009.
  • Rimes wrote this with her longtime collaborator Darrell Brown, along with Mark Batson, a prolific producer/songwriter who previously worked with Beyonce on Dangerously In Love and Eminem on Relapse and Recovery.
  • Remnants peaked at #88 in the US, where it also went to #4 on the Independent Albums chart. In the UK, it peaked at #15, faring much better than its predecessor, Spitfire, which only reached #142.
