Songfacts®:

  • Lindsay Lohan recorded "Too Young To Die" around 2007 and planned to release it on her third album, but that project was shelved as she battled addiction and became overwhelmed. The song appeared in 2010 when the blogger Perez Hilton leaked it just after Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for breaking probation on two 2007 DUI convictions. The timing is certainly not coincidence, as Lohan was in a self-destructive cycle. The song title implies her real-life peril, but she's actually singing about the dangers of falling in love.
  • The ballad was produced by Britney Spears' onetime boyfriend/producer J.R. Rotem who has helmed hits for Sean Kingston ("Beautiful Girls") and Jason Derulo ("Whatcha Say"). He and Lohan wrote it with the singer Lolene (Louise Ghazal), who also sings on the track.

  • Mike from Santa Barbara, CaGiven the way that Lindsay Lohan's life has turned out, many think that these lyrics may turn out to be ironic in the worst way possible. One hopes she comes to her senses before it reaches that point.
