, he explained that rather than being about a lover, its subject matter is more general. Said Essien: "It's not particularly about a girl, it can be about missing someone, going to work without a car, umm missing your grandma, even being away from home. It's just being without what you need, which is why I didn't make a reference to a girl in the song."
