  • Bassist JoJo Garza told the Austin Chronicle July 4, 2008: "We always sing about love. But the song 'There's a War Tonight,' that's a different channel for us. There's always a war is basically what it's talking about."
    His drummer brother Ringo added: "Not that war, either. The war is everywhere. In the neighborhoods. With parents. In school, too."
  • This, together with "Guero in the Barrio" are two bonus tracks on Wal-Mart's version of Forgiven.
