Songfacts®:

  • Here, Luude revitalizes Kevin Lyttle's iconic 2003 soca dance track "Turn Me On." The Australian electronic dance music producer breathes new life into Lyttle's pop vocals, infusing them with a contemporary touch while evoking a sense of nostalgic familiarity. Luude injects a pulsating percussive foundation and his signature high-energy party vibes, all complemented by the wordplay of Nottingham, England rapper Bru-C.
  • On "TMO (Turn Me On)," Lyttle tries to persuade his love interest to accompany him home after a party. Her intoxicating allure and captivating dance moves ignite his desire and drive him wild.

Bru-C, in his rap verse, shares his own excitement and his longing to kiss her.

The chorus reinforces the theme of being aroused and longing to dance in unison. It highlights the intense attraction and desire between the two.
  • "TMO (Turn Me On)" follows up Luude's remix of Men at Work's "Down Under" and Mattafix's "Big City Life."

"I wasn't really looking to do another re-up tune immediately," Luude admitted. "But when Kevin had reached out about this one and wanted to give it a new take – it was just too fun of an idea not to at least try. Then I played it for the first time at the show I did for Mixmag and the crowd reaction was just so insane, we knew it was a tune that had to come out. It's just such a fun record."
