Songfacts®:

  • Many songs called "Two Hearts" have been recorded over the years, but they are typically love songs hewing to the theme of "two hearts are better than one." This one is different: one of the two hearts is breaking, making it a heartache song.
  • Magnum were never a singles band, but this uptempo rocker has single written all over it. Curiously it was released as the B-side of "Just Like An Arrow," and made little impression on the chart.

Written as ever by axeman Tony Clarkin, "Two Hearts" runs to 4 minutes 22 seconds, and is track 7 on the 1985 release On A Storyteller's Night. >>
