This Afrobeats-inflected track is built on an uplifting, vibrant beat with lyrics about a special girl. The song features vocals by the South African rapper Nasty C, Nigerian artists Ice Prince and Patoranking, and Nigerian-American hip hop recording artist Jidenna.
The video was directed by South African filmmaker Adriaan Louw in Johannesburg. Nasty C, Ice Prince, and Jidenna all feature in the clip along with South African producer DJ Maphorisa. The visual offers an alternative view on a 70's inspired culture. Louw said:
"I've always wanted to shoot a film like this in Johannesburg. It was creating an ideal world within Joburg that was based in the 70's. I wanted it to feel like we were shooting a documentary in the 70's of the culture that could have been in a city where disco, funk, Fela Kuti was everywhere. We worked with some great artist who featured on the track. Jidenna flew in all the way from the states and Ice Prince came down from Nigeria. Was also my first time working with fellow South African's Nasty C and DJ Maphorisa."
The Isley Brother's song, "Contagious," peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. This meant that the band of brothers became the first group to score a Top 50 hit in six consecutive decades on the chart.
