Songfacts®:

  • James Bourne wrote this following Busted's split in 2005. It finds him reflecting on his time between demise of his first band and the creation of McBusted. "It's what everyone asks you when they see you," Bourne told Digital Spy. "When I used to do my shopping, the lady at the till would be like, 'What happened to your band?' Everyone asked that question."

Harry Judd added: "That's what I love about the song. It was one of the first songs we heard and knew James had. It's quite magic because it's what Matt and James went through after Busted. I love it for that, because it's like, 'F--k it - this is what happened: Hyde Park and a tour.'"
  • The song was originally recorded by James Bourne's post-Busted band Son of Dork for the deluxe edition of their debut album, Welcome to Loserville. However the release of the deluxe album was later canceled.
  • James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson have always thought this was the best Busted song that never happened, so when the band re-formed in 2015, they laid down for their Half Way There album. Bourne explained to OfficialCharts.com:

"It was always supposed to be a Busted song but it was written right after we broke up. When we were writing [Half Way There] we started talking about it and then Matt and Charlie were like, 'maybe it would be interesting for us to record that song?' It got used on all those other albums because it was a really good song but really the real home for that song was on a Busted album."
