  • The HMV magazine asked Gardot how My One and Only Thrill differed from her debut album. Gardot replied: "Thematically I think it's more mature. Rather than talking about my needs, the record talks about the concept of love and the concepts of things greater than love." Gardot added that this song, for instance, "is not about love at all but rather a moment with someone."
  • My One and Only Thrill was produced by frequent Joni Mitchell musical collaborator Larry Klein. HMV magazine asked Gardot how she hooked up with him. She replied: "I had done a live radio session, he heard it and decided that we should meet. When we met we got along really well and had similar taste in music. For me that is really important. Him having exquisite taste made it seem as though we would work really well together."

  • Joel from Princeton-plainsboro, NjFantastic song. Very jazzy with a subtle bluesy feel. The song has a fourties feel to it despite it bieng released in 2009. I'm surprised this has not been used on any of the popular television shows like House or Grey's Anatomy. At first I thought this was sung by Diana Krull. Man was I wrong. I can't say enough about this song or the artist.
