Songfacts®:

  • This was originally included on Michael Jackson's 1975 LP Forever, Michael. The album was Jackson's final contractual studio album as a soloist with Motown Records. Jackson was 16 years old at the time. In 1979 Jackson recorded his breakthrough solo album Off The Wall with Epic Records. It was a smash success and Motown cashed in on his new found fame by re-releasing this song. It topped the UK charts, knocking off Smokey Robinson's "Being With You," thereby giving Motown back to back UK #1s.
  • This was Michael Jackson's first solo recording to hit #1 on the UK Singles Charts. However it was only a modest US hit. >>>

  • Ross from Dunn, NcThis is such a beautiful song. Michael Jackson's vocals were top-notch even when he was a teenager.
  • David from Manchester, EnglandI have been after the sheet piano music for this for a long time. The reference you give above does not appear to supply it.
