Songfacts®:

  • "Whiskey Whiskey" mixes Moneybagg Yo's signature Memphis rap style with Morgan Wallen's country crooning. Together, they explore themes of heartache and seeking solace in whiskey. Moneybagg Yo raps about a girl who bounced, while Wallen delivers a more melancholic melody about his reliance on alcohol to numb the pain.
  • "Whiskey Whiskey" is the 15th track from Moneybagg Yo's fifth studio album, Speak Now, released on June 14, 2024. The rapper and the country star made the song back in 2022.

"He's actually a big fan of me," Moneybagg Yo told Billboard of Wallen. "We been locked in for like two or three years. We had the song when we first locked in off the rip. I had it for like a year and a half, or two years, and he's been on me about putting it out. "When that song coming out?" And all this s--t. The perfect time is now."
  • The two artists wrote the song with producers Turbo and Evrgrn, both recognized for their work with Lil Baby and Gunna. They were joined by Atlanta songwriter/producer London Jae, and the production duo David x Eli. Meanwhile, regular Wallen collaborators Charlie Handsome and Ashley Gorley add a country flavor to the tune.
